Terrafame’s Sustainability Review published
Terrafame’s Sustainability Review was published today on the company’s website at www.terrafame.com > Terrafame Ltd > Reporting.
The Sustainability Review is a collection of key sustainability events from 2019. The review also includes up-to-date information on the loading on water bodies and the state of nearby waters from spring 2020. The Sustainability Review includes Terrafame’s Sustainability Programme for 2020–2024.
“Our Sustainability Programme consists of themes that are important to both Terrafame and Terrafame’s stakeholders, as well as related objectives and measures. Some Sustainability Programme themes relate to the history of the industrial site, while others look to the future. Terrafame’s objective is to produce battery chemicals for the needs of electric transport in a responsible manner and with the smallest carbon footprint possible. This objective is also reflected in the Sustainability Programme. The progress of the Sustainability Programme will be monitored annually, and new themes will be introduced along the way,” says Veli-Matti Hilla, Chief Sustainability Officer at Terrafame.
