The address of Terrafame’s main gate will change to Malmitie 66

Terrafame’s street address in Sotkamo, Finland has changed as of 1 October 2018. The new address of the company's main gate and head office is Malmitie 66, 88120 Tuhkakylä. The physical location of operations have not changed due to the change of address.

Terrafame began operating three years ago. During this period, its personnel have made huge progress in developing the environmental safety of the mine and ramping up metals production. Since the end of 2017, Terrafame has also been planning a battery chemicals plant, which will take the company into a new investment phase.

Terrafame is now a very different company from when it started out. On this basis, the company asked its employees for suggestions for the renaming of the road. Malmitie (Ore Road) was chosen as the favourite from several strong suggestions, on the grounds that it describes the area and its considerable ore resources very well.

The decision to change the name of the former Talvivaarantie Road originated in the municipality of Sotkamo.
